custom vs stock abutments for dental implants

After dental implants have healed for 3 months, often times the restoring implant dentist must decide if they want a custom (lab fabricated) or stock (bought for implant company) abutment.  Stock abutments do not always fit the exact need.  They may not be tall enough or short enough. They may not have the right angulation.  A custom abutment is fabricated to fit your exact needs. Some restoring implant dentists do not feel comfortable fabricating and placing custom abutments.  Dr John Freeman will preform this procedure for them.  Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible.  Call the office of John Freeman MD, DDS, FACS today to schedule your appointment to discuss your options.
