Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

In the August issue of the Journal of Oral Implantology (www.joionline.org), surgeons describe the use of PRP and its benefits.  PRP can be used with sinus lift bone grafting.  It contains growth factors that promote bone formation.  In addition, it can be used to promote soft tissue healing and minimize bruising in soft tissue grafting around dental implants.

PRP is prepared in a centrifuge after drawing blood from the patient. it can be prepared within 30 minutes.  Contact the office of John Freeman MD, DDS, FACS to discuss your needs and options for dental implants.
